SNAPPER'S BOXING MANAGEMENT
Akendre Taylor Sr. is the CEO of Snapper’s Boxing Management LLC. The company emerged after following his passion for boxing and his willingness to aide youths that are heading down the wrong avenues of life. He becomes emotionally connected to his boxers, providing them with training, knowledge and so much more. Not only is he a manager to the boxers, he’s a mentor, big brother and father figure to some.
On his quest of bringing “Boxing back to Baltimore”. He set out to seek the advice and council from the professionals of the sport. Snappers Boxing Management LLC teamed up with 2 boxing greats. Roy Jones Jr. (Boxing Hall of Famer and current HBO Sports commentator), and Chazz Witherspoon (current ABA Heavyweight Champion and President of Silver Spoon Promotions). The group’s mission is to develop the boxing careers of the youth and assist in leading them in the right direction of the sport, all the while building Snapper’s Boxing Management’s longevity for the community.
Akendre’s early life consisted of abuse within the household, which led him to fall victim to violence in the community that surrounded him. After a few run-ins with the law, he decided to change his ways of life with a new approach. He then married his wife of 10 years and through this union they were blessed with several children. He vowed he would never raise his children in the same manner that he was raised. He was determined to become a positive role model for his children in spite of his father not being a positive figure in his life.
Snapper’s Boxing Management’s CEO, Akendre Taylor Sr. has hit Baltimore by storm with the support of its boxing community. He is breaking ground and impacting the future of amateur and professional boxing by unveiling new outlets that Baltimore has never seen before.
